Vietnam vacation: my expectations

Next month I’ll be going to Vietnam.

At the end of May, I will go to Vietnam with my little sister (she’s almost 18, so technically not that little anymore). We will start from the northern part of the country, Hanoi, all the way to the south, to Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon.

I don’t remember exactly how we decide our destination.

We are both fans of history, culture, and nature. I think Vietnam covers all of that.

We want to know more and see more the different way of life. That’s why we are going for 10 days.

It won’t be easy

There are a lot of people already that warn us about our destination.

They say it will be hard to communicate, because the Vietnamese can hardly speak English.

They say there will be a lot of scam, they will charge us unexpected amount of money for a ride since it’s hard to communicate.

It will be beautiful

But I’m sure it will be a beautiful and unforgettable trip.

We will go to numerous temples, Phong Nha caves, and try tasty street foods. I can’t wait to eat banh mi and pho everyday.

It will also be an opportunity for me and my sister to prove to ourselves and our parents that we can live (and travel) independently. Who knows, we might be going for another trip next year!

Wherever I go, I just have to remember this

good people > bad people

Have you ever been to Vietnam? Or do you have any plan to go there? I’d love to chat with you😄 ✈️
